P-ROD X SNKR FRKR INTERVIEW

There really isn’t anything as cool as being young and incredibly gifted at sport. Case in point, Paul Rodriguez, aka P-Rod. Grinding his way to the top with a bevy of accolades, it wasn’t long before deals started rushing in and Nike was knocking on his door for a signature shoe. Like any smart action sports kid that insures himself against arthritic joints and sacking himself, P-Rod has one eye on the future, opening a new store called Primitive in Encito, California. We were fortunate enough to ollie up on the man of the hour and catch a quick Q&A on the eve of his entry into the world of retail.

24 KILATES X NB COLAB INTERVIEW (BARCELONA)

From the mosaic madness of Gaudi to the surreal stylings of Miró, Barcelona’s own 24 Kilates have acknowledged their hometown’s architectural forefathers with their recent NB collaborations. The store’s head honcho Pol took time out of his recovery from Bread & Butter to give us the low-down on the European love of art and footwear, express his shock at Nike and tells us the three things that make Spain what it is!

SNEAKERSNSTUFF INTERVIEW

If any store was going to be crowned king of colabs, the title would hands down go to Swedish duo Erik and Peter at Sneakersnstuff. Coming into their diamond anniversary this year, celebrating a decade of trade, there will no doubt be a sneaker to commemorate the occasion. Before the guys get there though, they have made time to drop Round 3 of their New Balance 577 collaboration. Once again Peter and Erik choose a shoe each, lacing their own individual golden touch to create two very distinct yet contrasting sneakers. We caught up with Peter to get the inside scoop.

BUSY P INTERVIEW SNKR FRKR EXC.

One man has singlehandedly held down the music scene for the last few years, Pedro Winter aka Busy P. Living up to his alias, Pedro has put his technicolour touch all over the charts heading up Ed Banger Records and giving Justice, Uffie and DJ Medhi among a roster of other cutting edge electro artists, the international shine they deserve. Having managed Daft Punk from 1996 – 2008, Busy P is set to release his own album sometime this year. Off the back of the hype surrounding his recent collaboration with Nike, it is evident that Pedro is one in demand cool cat!
