Nowadays, Halloween in the sneakersphere is big, to the point where there are so many themed-out releases that it’s hard to keep up. Brands go wild, decking out their signature silhouettes in hair-raising colourways that’ll spook the socks off any frightened sneakerhead. Thinking back, one of the greatest sneakers to ever release for spooky season was the Air Force 1 ‘Savage Beast’ from 2009.
To help celebrate Halloween, we thought we would look back at some of the other hairy sneakers that have been released.
Air Jordan 7 ‘Hare 2.0’
Space Jam 2 came out in 2021, but Jordan Brand were so excited that they created the ‘Hare 2.0’ as a subtle ode to the franchise in 2020. The original ‘Hare’ iteration released in 1992 and the SKU code on the lateral heel references its forefather. For this iteration, Nike kitted out the upper in crisp grey pony hair, adding pink accents in true ‘wabbit’ style.

There’s no doubt that Kim drew some extra inspiration from the ‘Black Cats’, making these the perfect Halloween.
