Sneaker Freaker is a world-renowned print magazine, digital publisher and creative agency that requires a Senior Copy Editor to work with a team of content producers and creatives.

With a prominent voice in the footwear industry, Sneaker Freaker is blessed with a strong digital game, a passion for print, fiery imaginations geared for creative campaign ideation, and an ability to package all of this with razor-sharp copy and high-end visuals.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent writing skills and previous experience as an editor. They will also take great pride in their work and be able to efficiently optimise content that engages with Sneaker Freaker readers.

The Copy Editor will work closely with the editorial and social teams to improve the clarity, consistency and factuality of short- and long-form content.

An appreciation and understanding of sneaker and streetwear culture is a huge plus, but not mandatory.

ROLE
– Copy editing, structural feature editing and writing articles for print and online
– Ensure all content maintains the renowned Sneaker Freaker tone of voice
– Manage multiple editing projects to ensure premium quality and timely delivery
– Adapt approved content for varied formats
– Mentor members of the editorial team to improve the clarity, consistency and reader appeal of the content
– Research, ideate and write lead stories for print and digital
– Work with the Managing Editor to optimise content practices and processes
– Follow the in-house style guide and contribute to updating the guide as required

IDEAL CANDIDATE
– 4+ years experience editing copy across print and digital
– Strong eye for detail and the instincts to shape a great story
– Knowledge of digital publishing systems and social media
– Strong communication and research skills
– Highly organised and able to manage multiple briefs and projects
– Work closely with a team and independently
– Work well under pressure and hit daily deadlines

Social Media and Marketing Manager

Location: Europe or the UK

Sneaker Freaker are looking for a vibrant and creative social media and marketing manager to join the team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in working across content and marketing and will have great pride in being well organised and proactive in their thinking!

ROLE
– Building and implementing social media strategy in collaboration with paid team
– Managing the social media community manager to ensure KPIs are hit
– Reporting on Sneaker Freaker’s community
– Generating engaging ways to evolve social content
– Managing SF’s eDM strategy and eDM development
– Managing SF’s influencer database
– Managing marketing roadmap in collaboration with SF’s Managing Editor
– Marketing SF (B2B and B2C) through PR, events and other marketing activities

IDEAL CANDIDATE
– 3+ years experience across social media and marketing
– Creative thinking comes as second nature
– Knowledge of the sneaker industry, globally
– Strong communication skills
– Highly organised and able to manage multiple briefs and projects
– Work closely with a team and independently
– Work well under pressure to hit tight deadlines

Brand Partnerships Manager
Work Type: Full time or Part time
Location: North America (Remote)

We are looking for a vibrant brand partnerships manager to raise Sneaker Freaker’s profile across North America through meaningful relationships and by working closely with retail and brand partners. Ideally located in either Los Angeles or New York, the successful candidate will have a strong network and existing connections within the sneaker industry.

ROLE
– Build relationships with partners and organisational stakeholders
– Utilise networks to secure new partners for Sneaker Freaker
– Research, develop, and pitch new strategies to improve partner communications
– Identify all viable sales opportunities
– Develop engaging sales presentations backed by relevant data and case studies
– Communicate with key partners regularly to ensure projects are developed and delivered on time
– Negotiate partnership agreements
– Work with marketing and editorial teams to ensure all partner campaigns run smoothly

IDEAL CANDIDATE
– 3+ years' experience as a brand partnership manager or a similar role
– Strong communication skills
– Customer-oriented attitude
– Excellent negotiation skills
