Packer Show Off Their Upcoming adidas FYW Intimidation Colab

Update May 2, 2023: The Packer x adidas FYW Intimidation is set to drop on May 5, 2023, at 11:00 AM EST exclusively at Packershoes.com and in-store at Packer locations, retailing for $140.

Packer Shoes has been an OG in the sneaker scene and are continuing to bring an elevated and nuanced take to their collaborations and, as of late, look to their collaborative Clarks Wallabees and Reebok Club Cs, for example. Now the New Jersey-based retailer is set to team up with adidas on the adidas FYW Intimidation, which we should expect sometime later this year.

The adidas FYW Intimidation is a 90s basketball sneaker that uses ‘Feet You Wear’ technology in the midsole, which was made to mimic the natural shape and curves of human feet. And instead of squared-off midsoles, which can cause ankles to roll over and overall instability, the rounded edges and outriggers bring stability and protection to the feet and ankles.

The loud accenting colours of the OG FYW Intimidation are dropped for more earthy and neutral tones done by Packer. One features different shades of grey on the mesh and suede upper, with the other opting for dark grey and maroon suede, both using black tongues and cream TPU overlays. Adiprene+ is used for cushioning in the ‘Feet You Wear’ midsole, with adidas branding seen in an accenting yellow throughout the respective uppers.
