A Look Inside Concepts' New Flashy Boston Flagship

Premier sneaker and streetwear boutique Concepts have expanded their Stateside empire with a new Boston store, which opened up this past weekend. Located just a few blocks down from their existing 73 Newbury St location, this new shopfront has Concepts snugly rubbing shoulders with some neighbouring luxury and high fashion flagships in Boston’s Back Bay district.

And that is exactly what this new spot is targeting, as Concepts have also launched VRSNL, a female-focussed physical and ecomm platform that will carry designer brands like Balmain, Jimmy Choo, and Vetements, among other lux labels.

Of course, Concepts are not abandoning their roots with this store. There is still a heavy focus on the major players like Nike, adidas, New Balance Made in USA, and Salomon, and expect plenty of upcoming collaborations too. Meanwhile, the threads are fresh, with select styles from coveted streetwear brands such as BAPE, Stussy, visvim and, of course, Concept’s own private label.

To further elevate the IRL retail experience, this three-floor flagship's design draws plenty of art gallery cues, and is complete with regularly rotating activations and exhibitions. There’s also a DJ booth and newly built in-house Concepts Café that’ll add an extra level of drip for customers.
