First Look: A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2
After a wildly eventful 2021 that saw them join forces with for luxurious takes on the and , James Whitner's are back in the spotlight with a new colab. Though word around the shoe's inspiration has yet to be revealed, it looks to feature an elegant colour scheme and elevated materials, a fitting celebration of the AJ 2's long and luxurious history.
In the above images from sneaker leaker , the A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 2 appears to feature a similar cracked leather construction to 2021's . Pops of black provide contrast, while burgundy detailing and a 'Maniére' spellout graphic on the heel supply even more flair. The heel overlay is done up in translucent fashion, and in an undeniably striking twist, the black midsole supplies the same serpentine pattern that was used on the AMM AJ1's Swoosh. Co-branded hangtags and quilted collar lining (another AMM signature) complete the look.
A Ma Maniére's collaborative footwear projects are very story-driven, so we'll likely be made aware of the exact inspiration behind the design in the coming months. Early reports place the release date on April 29 and the MSRP at $225, but both of these details have yet to be confirmed by A Ma Maniére or Jordan Brand themselves.
