A Ma Maniere Are Giving Women Early Access to Their Upcoming Air Jordan 3
With its luxe looks and delayed release, ‘Raised by Women’ has the sneakersphere practically chomping at the bit, and will likely fetch a hefty resell price. But the retailer is making moves to ensure this drop doesn’t become aftermarket fodder, employing an ingenious release process to put the shoes on the feet of women who actually want to wear them.
Kicking off April 14, A Ma Maniere, Social Status, APB, and Prosper are running a women’s early access raffle, whereby women make an appointment on the retailers’ websites for an in-store government ID and size entry confirmation check.
Owner James Whitner says of the release: ‘It has been our priority all along to ensure women, especially Black women, have access to this very special project as it launches. Our team has worked hard to ensure we are able to change the narrative on special launches and we are here to redefine what it means to serve Her first.’
In a world where hyped women’s sneakers are still relatively rare, this is the kind of release we want to see – major props to A Ma Maniere.
Following the early access, a general raffle will run from April 16 to 18.
