Official Images: ACRONYM x Nike Blazer Low
Official images of the x have finally emerged. The yet-to-be released collaboration was a few months ago on the feet of ACRONYM boss Errolson Hugh at Paris Fashion Week, then UFC fighter and fan of the brand Max Holloway not long after. And as the e-comm shots confirm, there are indeed at least two editions that will be seeing a retail release.
While previous have featured relatively high-tech models in the Swoosh catalogue, this duo of Blazer Lows is much more lo-fi. That’s not to say they’re without the charmingly gimmicky attachments that have come to define the brand. The most striking part of these shoes is the protruding interchangeable heel clip that is literally screwed into the back. This faux armour forms a ‘window’ to display co-branded heel tabs, which forms a flap running to the inner lining. This is an interesting juxtaposition as the remainder of the colab is decidedly ‘old school’, featuring exposed foam raw seams and flapped cut-outs on the ballistic nylon upper. That being said, the lurid ‘Black’ and ‘Night Maroon’ colourways are anything but retro.
As official snaps are now out, that means a release must be coming soon.
