are bringing back some of the late 1990s-early 2000s models sported before he left the Three Stripes in 2002, and one of the styles that's set to make a return is the . Originally dubbed 'The KOBE', the Crazy 1 – which has since had to change its name due to licencing rights – debuted back in 2000 as Bryant's fourth signature model with adidas, and is coming back in its original 'Sunshine' colourway this April.
The Crazy 1's key design details is its blocky moulded upper, with a shape and style inspired by Audi's TT Roadster. On the 'Sunshine' colourway, this assemblage is dressed in a Lakers-esque yellow colourway. Collars and heels are done up in black (the latter was inspired by the TT's spoiler) and a toe bumper serves up some extra durability up front. Down below, a black EVA midsole that makes use of adidas' signature Torsion system rounds off the look.
Kobe wore the Crazy 1 during the 1999-2000 NBA season, where, alongside Shaquille O'Neal, he and the Lakers captured their first Championship. It first retroed back in 2006, and has returned several times since then, but this marks the first time it'll have been brought back to market since Kobe's tragic passing in January of 2020. You can expect it to release this April, with a yet-to-be-revealed retail price.
