Up Close with the adidas NMD S1 'Ice Mint'

adidas expanded the NMD family by one in 2021 with the release of the new NMD S1 silhouette, and in 2022 the S1 is set to further its reach with new colourways like the 'Ice Mint'. Shown off in a set of detailed images taken by the crew over at Footpatrol, the 'Ice Mint' uses the S1's sleek upper and bulky midsole to tell a compellingly chilly colour story!

Uppers are made entirely of Primeknit, with cool grey shades appearing across everything from the structured collar to the rope laces and the midfoot's tilted Three Stripe graphic. Down below, thick midsoles provide the shoe with its 'Ice Mint' moniker by using a refreshing cool mint shade that's accented by grey midsole bricks and stuffed full of BOOST cushioning. adidas Originals trefoil logos appear on the outsole for a finishing dash of branded flair. Unlike the pair revealed by Pharrell back in 2021 there's no extra text branding on the midsole, making for an ultra-clean look.

A release date for the adidas NMD S1 'Ice Mint' has yet to be revealed, but it's likely to hit the market in the coming weeks. You can expect to shell out $180 if you're looking to secure a pair.
