adidas have gone through some major changes in recent years, including the hiring of ex- PUMA CEO Bjørn Gulden and the severance of ties with their once-lucrative partnership with Ye. Now it’s been reported that the president of adidas North America, Rupert Campbell, has departed the company.

This news first surfaced via WWD, who managed to obtain an internal memo stating that ‘We regret to inform you that Rupert Campbell, president Adidas North America, has decided to leave Adidas to pursue other opportunities’. Shortly after the news surfaced online, the departure was confirmed by Team Trefoil to be true.

Holding a a decade-long tenure at adidas, Campbell first joined the brand in 2012 as a retail director and later moved up to be the Senior Vice President of adidas Europe. He then took a role for three years as the CEO of the Lucozade Powerleague, a football initiative in the United Kingdom before later returning to adidas as the Managing Director for Russia. In January 2022, Campbell became the President of adidas North America following reports of employee racial discrimination at the company.

Campbell’s last day with adidas will be October 27, where Chief Sales Officer, Arthur Hoeld, will take control until a replacement is found.
