The adidas Yeezy 500 High Appears in Brown and Black
Look, on the shelf – it's a sneaker ... it's a boot ... it's the from and ! With its combination of a midsole taken from KB8 III (an adidas from 1999) and a high-cut boot-like upper, the Yeezy 500 High is a sneaker that defies easy categorization. Now, it's surfaced in an earthy black and brown colourway.
Revealed by images from early pair collector/Instagram sneaker leaker , this new pair offers heavily-layered, high-cut nylon, suede and leather uppers that are dressed in various shades of brown and embellished with hi-vis reflective piping. Below this assemblage sits its Kobe-esque adiPRENE midsole and sizable mudguard, both done up in black. It's currently without an official name, though @sneakertigger has nicknamed it 'Batman.' If we had to guess, it's probably going to be named after some obscure alternate term for an earth mineral in classic Kanye fashion!
A release date for these new Yeezys has yet to surface, but they'll likely hit shelves sometime later this year. When they do, you can expect to shell out $220 for a pair.
