'Metallic Silver' Studs Grace the Air Force 1
The Low had its 40th anniversary last year, and the newest iteration appears to be continuing the celebration with a subtle but shiny makeover. The AF-1 took the world by storm when it released in 1982 since it was the first time the Nike Air cushioning had been used for a basketball shoe. The Low came shortly after and took the AF-1 from an exciting novelty to an enduring icon.
This new ‘Metallic Silver’ iteration stays true to the classic triple-white design, but instead of the usual leather Swoosh, it has been outlined in silver studs. The subtle change elevates the classic just that little bit to give an everyday beater a new touch. The shiny look also appears on the AF-1 dubraes and reflective Nike branding on the insole.
