The Weatherproof Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX Gets a Sweet 'Light Berry' Colourway
'Sweet' isn't an adjective you'd normally think of paring with 'rough and tumble', but have combined the two terms in artful fashion on the new 'Light Berry' colourway. Following up more seriously-styled makeups like the and , the 'Light Berry' contrasts its rich colour scheme with no-joke performance tech that lets the wearer combat even the most inclement conditions.
The beauty of the Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX is how it upgrades the performance of the original without compromising its iconic look. It's made of reinforced nylon and sturdy suede, all of which is lined by a waterproof membrane and secured by a gusseted tongue. From a colour standpoint, the shoe's signature 'Light Berry' hue is contrasted by both a faint mauve, a stark black and a hot red on the tongue while printed Swooshes and GORE-TEX hits add branded flair – Peter Moore's signature ball-and-wings logo retains its place on the tongue – and a special outsole pattern completes the style.
At the time of writing, Jordan Brand have yet to announce a release date for the Air Jordan 1 Element GORE-TEX 'Light Berry'. However, it's likely to drop in the coming weeks. Expect to pay $200 for a pair, in line with the price of previous models.
