The Air Jordan 1 Low Boards the Tear-Away Train
The doesn’t appear to be going away any time soon, as the is the latest model to graft a second skin onto its upper. At face value, this is a modern shiny silver and white colourway, but it peels off to reveal something a little more fleshy.
Hannibal Lecter allusions aside, it is a fairly appealing presentation. The white and silver pairs well, especially with that sheen on the Swoosh and heel counter. It’s these two panels that can be torn off, and are particularly encouraging of it. This is evident in the ‘Take Your Chances’ text and direction arrow printed on the surface. Not to the mention the Riddler-esque question marks scattered all over.
Upon lifting the Swoosh and heel counter, nude-beige is revealed, suggesting a more feminine, ie women’s colourway. Of course, the only thing stopping all sneakerheads wearing this pair is its size range. The remainder of the colourway is straightforward: light grey tips, multicolour woven laces and matching midsoles complete the package.
While release details haven’t been revealed for this Air Jordan 1 Low yet, these official images confirm their existence, and also offer a glimpse into the tearaway effect.
