Update May 13, 2022: Following the initial leaks, more imagery of the Air Jordan 1 Low 'UNC' has surfaced from @prvt.selection. Take a closer look ahead of the impending release.

The University of North Carolina Tar Heels boast some of the most ubiquitous uniforms in all of college athletics, thanks to their blend of powder blue with white and the occasional hit of navy blue (at least on their alternates). Of course, Michael Jordan spent three years as a Tar Heels star before heading to the Chicago Bulls and becoming the greatest NBA player of all time, so Jordan Brand have often used various iterations of the Tar Heels' famed colour scheme on their footwear – a practice that's ramped up in recent years, and just resulted in a new Air Jordan 1 Low dubbed the 'UNC.'

Revealed by leak account @sneaker.spook and repurposing the colour scheme of 2019's popular Air Jordan 1 'Obsidian,' these low-cut Air Jordan 1s feature uppers built of leather and offer up signature Tar Heel powder blue on their heel, heel tab, tongue branding and outsole. This is quickly combined with a wealth of obsidian on the mudguard, eyestays, laces, tongues, heel logos, Swooshes and collars. White toeboxes, quarter panels and midsoles round off the look.

Information around a release date for these new Air Jordan 1 Lows is still forthcoming, but be sure to keep it locked here for updates as they're made available. When they do drop, you can expect to put down $130 for a pair.
