The Air Jordan 1 Mid Split ‘Beach Cherrywood’ Takes Two-Tone to the Next Level
The is proving itself as the ultimate chameleon, and this upcoming ‘Beach Cherrywood’ edition takes that definition literally as its split designation sees two colourways merged into one, creating a perfect mirror.
This practice was first seen in the release from 2018, but that version was a relatively simpler half-and-half execution. The ‘Beach Cherrywood’ is a little more complex in that the colours are mirrored on both individual shoes and across left and right feet. This is best seen on the toe box and bumper, which takes on a checkered effect due to alternating colours, while the remainder of the upper is more straightforward with its lateral and medial swap. The only components that are left whole in solid colours are the laces, lining, midsole and outsole.
As for the ‘Beach Cherrywood’ combination, the mixture of sandy beige and deep maroon almost draws parallels to the , but this general release is actually more visually engaging due to its split personality.
No release date has been announced for the Air Jordan 1 Mid Split ‘Beach Cherrywood’ just yet, but it’ll likely be at some point later this year.
