UNC’s Women’s Basketball Team Receives Their Own Air Jordan 1 PE

We’re well and truly in the thick of the NCAA women’s basketball season, and the University of North Carolina’s Tar Heels are prepping to face off against the Vermont Catamounts this week. Ahead of the anticipated match-up, the UNC women’s basketball team have unveiled that they’ve received a fresh Air Jordan 1 PE ( Player Exclusive) from Jordan Brand.

Similarly to the plethora of other college Player Exclusive iterations that have launched this year, this Air Jordan 1 goes for a more muted build. The upper has been constructed using premium smooth leather, bolstered by the OG-esque colour blocking that’s reminiscent of the 1985 ‘Dark Powder Blue’ iteration. ‘UNC’ tongue branding rounds out this crispy combo.

As Michael Jordan’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina have been the focus of a swathe of themed Jordan Brand retro releases. Each team under the Tar Heels banner also receive fresh PE’s every year, and this Air Jordan 1 follows the recent AJ12 cleat, and AJ1 Low!

As this Air Jordan 1 is a Player Exclusive, don’t expect pairs to see a retail release.
