Jordan Brand’s gargantuan Summer 2023 collection, revealed toward the start of March, was stacked with plenty of heaters. As to be expected, the Air Jordan 1 was the highlight retro silhouette, coming through in crisp builds such as the ‘Lucky Green’, ‘Washed Pink’ and ‘Washed Black’. Although, the latest Craft pair took the spot as the standout, dubbed ‘Vibrations of Naija’.

The inspiration behind this pair seems to be the music of the West African country of Nigeria, hence the name ‘Vibrations of Naija’. This isn’t the first time Team Swoosh have taken cues from the Nigerian culture – they actually crafted an Air Max 95 and an Air Presto that celebrated the country’s football team back in 2020. Coming through with a simplistic build, the shoe’s uppers are created using a supple all-white leather with added textile Swoosh and collar.

A release date for the Air Jordan 1 ‘Vibrations of Naija’ hasn’t been confirmed as of yet, but May 27 is the date to watch.
