Update May 29, 2023: Hype for the Air Jordan 1 ‘Washed Black’ has been brewing, and finally, Jordan Brand have released official imagery and a release date. You can expect pairs to touch down at SNKRS and select retailers on June 10.

Unveiled at the beginning of March, Jordanheads were enamoured by Jordan Brand’s eclectic Summer 2023 collection, which was stacked with plenty of heaters. As to be expected, the Air Jordan 1 was the main focus, alongside the Air Jordan 6, with crisp builds like the ‘Lucky Green’ and ‘Toro Bravo’ getting fans excited. Interestingly, there were also a few ‘Washed’ pairs, including the ‘Washed Pink’ and ‘Washed Black’, boasting vintage-inspired builds.

Now, following the release of its pink-toned cohort, the ‘Washed Black’ is preparing to release. The inspiration behind this pair is obviously vintage 1985 AJ1s, arriving with a grey faux-aged suede upper, slightly yellowed midsoles and subtle black accents and outsole.

A drop for the Air Jordan 1 ‘Washed Black’ hasn’t been confirmed by Jordan Brand yet, but June 10 is the rumoured date to watch.
