The line is the pinnacle of performance basketball for and after months of teasing, the Jumpman has officially unveiled the Air Jordan 38. Taking DNA from the Air Jordan 8 and blending it with cutting-edge technology, the is designed to push the game forward.
The Air Jordan 38 is built around running and cutting, which basketball players state is the most important aspect of their game. Using what Jordan Brand are calling the X-Plate, the underfoot plate enables players to cut and move by securing and supporting lateral movements with responsiveness and better propulsion. The lightweight upper is breathable yet durable, with a full-length Zoom Strobel setup and Cushlon 3.0 encapsulating the midsole, providing responsiveness and maximum comfort. Nods to the Air Jordan 8 are seen throughout, such as MJ’s stats during the 1993 NBA Finals. 41 crosshatches on the upper symbolise MJ’s 41 points per game average in the Finals that year and the medial side of the upper represent the first 3-Peat Jordan won in the AJ 8.
The Air Jordan 38 will launch this summer starting with the ‘Fundamental’ colourway, retailing for $200. Check out the list of colourways below and their release dates.
