Update December 8: Official images have surfaced of the Air Jordan 4 'Bred'. A release date has not been confirmed, but whispers still point towards December 22.
Golf and basketball might not seem like obvious companions, but in the case of , 's love of the links – and the golf world's to attract a more diverse fan/player base – have served as the perfect launching ground for golf spike-equipped iterations of everything from the and to the . It's the last model mentioned that's in the spotlight here, as the beloved has appeared in a golf-ready makeup.
Revealed by Jordan Brand family member, PGA pro and noted sneaker enthusiast Pat Perez, the 'Bred' offers up all the black, red and grey style that made it famous upon its inaugural release in 1989, but swaps out an OG Air heel graphic in favour of a Jumpman, a detail that likely won't bother duffers as much as it might purist sneaker collectors. Though outsoles retain their standard colour scheme, they're coated with a see-through layer that holds removable golf spikes in place.
According to early reports, the Air Jordan 4 Golf 'Bred' is slated for a December 22 release. Past iterations of the AJ4 Golf have retailed for $220, so this one likely will as well.
