Model, stylist and consultant Aleali May is one of Jordan Brand's leading ladies, and over the course of her collaborative relationship with the Jumpman she's mined her upbringing, influences and tastes to inspire covetable kicks like her Air Jordan 1 and Air Jordan 14 Low. May's rarest Js, her friends-and-family only Air Jordan 4 'Veteran's Day,' follow that path as well: they salute her father's military service!

The Aleali May x Air Jordan 4 'Desert Camo' was first teased by May herself on Veteran's Day back in 2020, and has appeared sporadically since then via various sneaker leakers and exclusive pair purveyors. Interest in it has remained high over that time period, and now we've been given our closest look at it yet via @englishsole.

What makes @englishsole's photos of the camo-coated Air Jordan 4 different from others we've seen before are the little details that they reveal. The desert camo canvas uppers, suede midsoles and interchangeable, military badge-inspired patches are familiar to any follower of May's work by now, but what wasn't as widely known is that the shoes also come with a trio of colourful alternate lace options and a quilted purple satin insole with special branding – adding a dash of May's high-end style to her father's military ruggedness!
