Jordan Brand Celebrate Anthony Anderson’s Graduation From Howard With an Air Jordan 4 PE
Actor and comedian Anthony Anderson graduated from Howard University with a BFA degree from the Chadwick A. Boseman College of Fine Arts earlier this month. Former VP wanted to make sure he blessed his friend with a graduation gift, so he had the Jumpman cook up a special Howard University PE for the occasion!
Founded in 1867 and based in Washington, DC, Howard is a famous HBCU that boasts prestigious alumni like the above-mentioned Boseman (RIP), Sean 'Diddy' Combs, current VP Kamala Harris and Thurgood Marshall, the first Black justice to serve on the Supreme Court. That's quite some company for Anderson to be in, and his special iteration of fourth signature sneaker holds up to the task!
Where most PEs are awash in bright colours or prominently feature team logos, this Howard pair opts for a more muted look. It's made of white leather and tan suede, while Howard's signature navy shade is used to accent the tongue, heel, top and bottom eyestays and quarter panels. There's also a white and navy Howard tag on the tongue in place of a standard Jumpman logo.
As this pair is indeed a PE, it won't see a retail release – though we're sure that any Howard attendee or alumni would be stoked to get their hands on a pair! However, you can check it out in detail right here.
