Update October 4, 2023: Having originally debuted at Paris Fashion Week in January, Japanese label AURALEE have now provided a closer look at their duo of New Balance 1906Rs. Rumoured to feature as part of a trio of colourways, the blue and beige editions are certainly turning heads. New Balance have confirmed that the collaboration will arrive globally on October 11.

There’s been a stack of heat spotted in and around Paris Fashion Week this year! Pairs of unreleased Wales Bonner x adidas Sambas were spotted on-foot at the designer’s show, as well as the latest offering to come from Louis Vuitton’s footwear department. Of course, PFW isn’t over yet, meaning there’s more where that came from! One of the latest shows to deliver their Autumn/Winter presentation is AURALEE, who are known in the sneakersphere for their New Balance collaborations.

Over the years, they’ve co-created silhouettes, including the 550, the 2002R and, more recently, the XC-72. Up next, AURALEE are set to reimagine the 1906 – a model you can expect to enjoy mainstream success in 2023. For this colab, AURALEE have stuck to their signature pastel colour palettes, creating a lilac iteration and a musky white pair with cream soles.
