Official Images: BBC x adidas Hu NMD ‘Running Dog’
The Billionaire Boys Club, or for short, appear to be on another upward trajectory in the streetwear and sneaker world, which can be attributed in part to their ongoing collaborations with . It has to be said, there are perhaps some internal influences at play here, as BBC’s founder, , has been a long-time adi ambassador and definitely was involved with this new colourway.
Following on from the recent blue edition is this green ‘Running Dog’ version. Like the previous release, this is another feature for the adidas – something of a bespoke model for Pharrell and a frequent collaborative template – and it follows a similar execution. Instead of the mesh bootie uppers usually found on the model, the BBC editions so far have opted for a quilted variety that almost resembles corduroy. This time it’s a nice shade of verdant green, which is offset by a crisp white BOOST midsole, another staple of the model and broader NMD family. Also returning is the external plastic grids on either side of the heels, enabling all sorts of threading combinations for the included black and reflective or blue-flecked shoe laces. And finishing this colab is the large embroidered ‘Running Dog’ motif, an element commonly found tactically placed across the crotch of many BBC jeans.
