Best Look Yet: Nike Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’ 2021 Retro is Coming Soon
to be part of 2020’s 30th anniversary celebrations, the ‘Bacon’ retro is now set for release in the coming months. We were treated to at the actual shoe after a size 12 mysteriously appeared on eBay last month, and now have come through with an even better look ahead of the drop.
The original ‘Bacon’ was a premium rendition of the AM90 with upgraded materials, composed of supple leather uppers and lining, plus a delectable palette of brown, red and pink. It’s a similar case here, with just about every panel replicated, albeit some proportions have changed slightly. Those with a keen eye will notice that Nike haven’t chosen to use their new remastered shape, instead opting for the previous silhouette with taller mudguards and toe bumpers. Shape aside, thoughtful details are considered on this reissue, such as the arch support inserts and three sets of complementary shoelaces. Whether this version will be known as another collaboration with the now-defunct NYC sneaker boutique DQM (Dave’s Quality Meat) is yet to be revealed.
Now, it’s simply a case of waiting for the official release confirmation from Nike. At this point, the release is rumoured for March, 2021. We’ll bring you confirmation ASAP.
