are celebrating two centuries of history with a documentary titled From Somerset to the World, which traces the brand's evolution from a small shoemaking business in Somerset, England to a global cultural icon. Narrated by Yasiin Bey and directed by Set Free Richardson, the film debuts on February 5, 2025.

The film explores Clarks’ deep influence across music, fashion, and subcultures, featuring voices like Liam Gallagher, Raekwon, and Jamaican reggae artist Lila Iké. In Jamaica, Clarks achieved mythical status, with dancehall artists and everyday citizens alike considering it a badge of style. ‘If you know anything about Jamaicans, it’s that if anything is coming from overseas, it’s worshipped,’ Lila Iké explains. Meanwhile, in Japan, Clarks’ and played a key role in shaping Harajuku fashion trends, influencing generations of sneakerheads and fashion fiends. Hip-hop’s golden era also cemented Clarks as a staple. Chris Robinson, director of Ghostface Killah’s Apollo Kids video, recalls from the making of the video: ‘We had to have over 300 pairs of Clarks… we just bought as many as possible and dyed them.’

With two centuries of cultural impact under their belt (and in their soles), Clarks continue to define style across the world. From Somerset to the World will be available globally via Clarks’ Instagram channels starting February 5.
