Closer Look: The Nike Dunk High ‘University Red’

Following last week’s teaser, a closer look at the Nike  Dunk High ‘University Red’ has now surfaced. And this really is a retrolicious rendition, with classic two-tone colour-blocking rocking white and ‘University Red’ across the high-top silhouette.

The classic makeup starts with a clean white leather base before adding ‘University Red’ overlays. Landing on the Swoosh, tongue branding, heel tabs, laces, liners, and rubber outsoles, the ‘University Red’ stands strongly against the white midsoles and tongue.

This impending release continues a bull run of Dunk High colourways, following a  seriously impressive 2020. The Dunk, in both its High and Low variants, keeps hitting all the right notes this year, flexing its enviable ability to appeal to sneakerheads across multiple generations. There’s also been plenty of news about Dunk High colabs on their way, including the wild  AMBUSH interpretations, snazzy  Supreme  builds, and the  alluring UNDERCOVER.
