When it comes to reporting on sneaker colabs, few things tend to shock us these days, but when we heard that CLOT would be ending their longstanding partnership with Nike, we were a little surprised. After dropping their final few Swoosh releases, including the celebratory ‘ What the CLOT’ Nike Dunk Low, it quickly became clear that the Hong Kong-based brand was looking to join forces with adidas Originals, and months later we finally got our first look at the upcoming collection.

Choosing to showcase the capsule as part of their 20th-anniversary celebrations, our first look at CLOT x adidas Originals took place at CLOT’s SS24 fashion show in Shanghai, but now the Edison Chen-led imprint has shared some new images over on the Gram. These photos give us an even better glimpse at the surprising new silhouettes, which take on a more mature aesthetic and signal a new chapter in CLOT’s story. Included, we see a new formal spin on the Superstar, which merges the silhouette’s shell toe with a brogue-style shoe, as well as an edgier version of the 80s classic, with a jagged sole and tassel details. A pair of intricately beaded Sambas is another highlight - we can think of a few brands who’ll be kicking themselves for not thinking of these first.

Though adidas certainly stole the show, a closer look at the runway collection also hinted at what else is to come in 2024, and Chen didn’t hold back on the collaborative elements. Alongside a number of apparel colabs, the brand also showcased some upcoming Crocs. Can’t wait to ditch your shell-toned smart shoes and slip into something more comfortable after a long day? CLOT’s got you covered.

Those who have been in the scene for a while will know that this isn’t CLOT’s first colab with adidas, but this collection showcases just how far CLOT has come since their last link-up in 2015. As it stands, there’s no news of a release date yet, but stay locked to Sneaker Freaker for more info and images as they come in!
