First Look: Comme des Garçons HOMME x New Balance 610
The extended universe that is HOMME sneaker collaborations is expanding yet again with the imminent arrival of a duo rendered in the Japanese brand’s monochromatic white and black finishing.
As seen above in the shots shared by New Balance Japan marketing manager Tsuyoshi Ikedo, this new colab uses the 610 model. This has been demonstrated by recent and upcoming collaborations from the likes of , and . CDGH’s effort marks the first Far East effort for the silhouette.
While the all-white pair is pretty straightforward in its colour swap, the black option notably features a slip-on design – a first for the 610. Because it’s ditched its laces, the vamp receives additional mesh paneling plus a suede overlay along the instep. The ankle collar is remade in stretchy neoprene to hug the foot while also keeping out any debris, nodding to the model’s trail-inspired design. Both pairs are minimally branded as per CDGH’s typically understated image, leaving only the wordmark printed on the tongues and insoles.
Expect to see these Comme des Garçons HOMME x New Balance 610s as part of the label’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection.
