Release Date: Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 ‘Far Out’
Deon Point’s label continue to expand their storytelling around 1960s America and the iconic the latest colourway the third instalment of the series. Hot on the heels of the and , the bandana and denim ‘Far Out’ rendition is reportedly the Boston team’s final leg of the collaboration, the release expected to land later this week.
Taking aesthetic cues from the legendary Woodstock festival and the ‘flower power’ movement that revolutionised American culture, the Air Max 1 utilises paisley bandana patterns, denim, and M-65 jackets. The ankle collars, inspired by the guitar straps used by musicians at Woodstock, is undoubtedly one of the model’s standout design features, while the flower-adorned Swooshes pay homage to the hippies of the era. Pony hair and corduroy adds even more material diversity to the collaboration. In terms of branding, colourful Concepts typography again heightens the theme on the tongue tags and insoles.
The third colourway of the Concepts x Nike Air Max 1 will reportedly land exclusively at Concepts on March 19. A global release is then expected to follow on March 26.
