The Heat Is On: Concepts Open New Store in Miami
Originally founded in 1996 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, have become a key collaborator and retail destination for sneaker enthusiasts worldwide. With locations in Boston, New York, Dubai, and an existing presence in Miami, Concepts are now unveiling their latest venture in the Miami Design District. This new store occupies a stunning two-story building, reinforcing the brand's commitment to fashion, culture, and community.
‘This city feels like a natural progression for us. Miami’s creative energy, cultural diversity, and unique take on fashion perfectly align with what CNCPTS stands for,’ said Concepts founder Tarek Hassan.
Of course, Concepts aren't just a premium bricks and mortar shopping experience. Over the years, they’ve proven themselves to be one of the baddest collaborators in the game. Led by Deon Point, who took over collaborations in the mid-2000s, Concepts went on a run of must-cops with every brand on the block.
‘My bread and butter is storytelling and ensuring that when we put a project out it has some substance,’ Deon back in 2017. ‘We’re not just picking a colour, slapping our name on it and saying, “We hope you buy it!” I love getting people to feel like they can educate others, and getting them to share in the excitement that we have for product.’
