It's All 'Smoke and Mirrors' on the New Concepts x Vans

Longtime collaborators Concepts and Vans are back at it with their new ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ pack, which includes the OG SK8-Hi LX and OG Old Skool LX. The pair have over 15 projects under their belts, with the ‘Rat Hunter’ Syndicate Old Skool and ‘Forty Deuce’ Old Skool being two of the more notable ones. 

The pack was inspired by the saying ‘it’s all smoke and mirrors’ – a phrase that originated from stage performers who used the mediums to distract the audience and make them believe the illusions played before them. The design takes from this idea quite literally with grey smoke and reflective blue pieces covering a black base. The pack uses a mixture of suede, sublimated canvas and reflective highlights to create the smoke and mirrors effect.

The Concepts x Vans ‘Smoke and Mirrors’ pack launched on September 8, and the OG Old Skool LX has already sold out. But the OG SK8-Hi LX is still available at Concepts locations in Boston and New York, as well as online at Concepts.
