Dame Dash Denies Selling Sneakers On EBay
When that Dame Dash was selling his sneaker collection, people had questions. The well-meaning among us might have seen the auction as Dash passing on the torch, the businessman’s way of letting other sneakerheads enjoy pairs he no longer wanted. Others, though, assumed that Dash was broke, which must have bothered him because he’s declaring he had nothing to do with the auction.
‘I got a call from [Killa] Cam yesterday,’ starts Dash before putting on a hilarious imitation and saying ‘Yo Dame, n***as got your shit on eBay!’
He explains that all of those grails you’ve been pining over are just ‘some shit’ he hasn’t seen in 12 years. ‘I got cribs all over the place and offices all over the place and sometimes I lose track of my stuff. And, I guess, apparently, it was in storage.’
As the story goes, whoever was holding the sneakers tried to get in touch with the Roc-A-Fella co-founder, but reached his lawyer instead. And by way of explanation, ‘I fire lawyers frequently,’ tells Dash.
‘They auctioned my shit for like $18,000,’ he continues, ‘so somebody came up. I do wish there would be a little more respect. But y’all know I’m not going to be auctioning my shit. I lose my shit and people auction it.’
