Daniëlle Cathari Steps Down as Creative Director for Kith Women’s
In October last year, quietly stepped down from her post as the creative director for Women's sub division. There was no announcement around the departure from either side, and the exit flew under the radar among all the other industry hubbub from the tail end of 2024. Cathari recently posted to her socials confirming the news, and her LinkedIn has her employment ending at Kith in October 2024.
The Dutch designer and creative director took the position at Kith Women eight years after launched the female-geared sub label. ‘I’ve always been a big fan of Kith, from the beginning,’ Cathari told . ‘And I knew I could speak to the Kith woman because I always saw myself in her.’ After being hired in 2023, Cathari was at the NY-based brand for only a year before deciding to step down. She was responsible for the creative direction, with her first full collection being the Winter 2024 collection that launched late in the year.
Cathari is no new comer to the scene – she became the first student to win the VFiles Fashion Show in 2017 with a collection featuring deconstructed tracksuits. A year later and the designer received an official collaboration with Team Trefoil! She has since worked with for a clean pack of brightly coloured and last year dropped the lauded .
Daniëlle Cathari hasn’t announced what her next big move is, but we suspect she’ll put more energy into her eponymous label.
