Derrick Rose adidas Fear of God Basketball II Sample
just shared images of fresh samples of the These come with a twist though, as they are (D-Rose) inspired. The former NBA player continues to be a mainstay within adidas basketball even though his playing days are over, and the inspiration is fitting given it was Rose who took adidas basketball to new heights in the 2010s when he debuted the in the 2011 NBA Playoffs. In a nod to the lightweight nature of the pair, the commercial said: '9.8, it’s not the seconds on the game clock… its ounces'. In this case, it only took 9.8 seconds to be intrigued by these new adidas Fear of God Basketball II samples.
The sneakers invoke a Chicago Bulls colourway with black uppers, white mesh paneling and red hits throughout. What sets the sneakers off however is the signature D-Rose adidas logo on the heel and the patented adidas D-Rose ankle braces built into the shoe. In 2011, when Rose was named the youngest NBA MVP in history, the ankle braces were some of the coolest equipment pieces in the game. This inclusion is a very thoughtful nod to both adidas and D-Rose’s history.
It is currently unclear if these are intended for release or if they will remain a player exclusive for D-Rose alone. Keep it locked here for any updates.
