Detailed Look: Comme des Garçons x Nike Air Foamposite One in White
have been teasing an colab with since their Autumn/Winter '21 collection was unveiled in Tokyo this past January. Though an official date of arrival for the CdG Foamposite has yet to be revealed, it's likely drawing close as friends of the brands are starting to receive gifted pairs.
One of these brand-adjacent individuals is photographer Tyler 'Arab Lincoln' Mansour, who was recently gifted the white pair. In a crisp set of photos, Mansour gives us our best look yet at the upper's mesmerising moulded vortex patterns. Crafted by CDG's HOMME PLUS sub-label, the altered upper brings fresh meaning to the Foamposite line. Where the Air Foamposite's original shell was inspired by a beetle, this new pattern delves more into the realm of zen gardens and their artful lines.
The monochromatic style with just a touch of contrasting branding at the heel and on the insoles is a HOMME PLUS signature as well. Recently, CdG and Nike applied a similar colour treatment to the cult-classic , and it's also used on an that's a companion to this pair. Besides the branded hits, there's also touches of contrast on the tongue's jewelled badges and the midfoot's carbon fibre plate.
As mentioned above, there isn't a release date for the Comme Des Garçons x Nike Air Foamposite One yet. However, it's likely to start popping up at locations in the coming weeks.
