Dior’s SS23 Footwear Offerings J’Adore GORPcore
sent their men’s SS23 collection down the runway at Paris Fashion Week earlier today, but for sneakerheads, the real action went down both before and after the show. Men’s footwear designer took to his Instagram to provide an up-close and personal look at the styles included in the collection.
It appears Dior’s dalliance with skateboarding-inspired footwear has come to a close, and there’s a new subculture for them to J’adore: GORPcore. Front and centre in their latest offering is a chunky new sneaker with intricately layered detailing on its upper, a speed lacing system and a thickly toothed trail outsole. It’s a little bit , a little bit and a little bit , and it’s been shown in a four-pack of earthy colourways – two muted and two with vibrant accents.
The brand are also getting into the #clogcore trend with a rubberised slip-on that features a thick midsole contained within a rubber cage, a solid toe bumper, its own speed lacing system and a rippled outsole. It’s been shown in dark grey, light grey and olive, the first two of which offer a Tiffany blue insole and the last of which keeps things tonal. Rounding out the offerings are a high-cut grey rubber boot with a fold-down neoprene collar and a black derby shoe with a speed lacing system, and a branded, water-resistant grey Dior shroud.
A release date for the Dior SS23 footwear has yet to be announced, but as you could probably glean from the collection name, it should be available sometime next spring or summer.
