A Wider Launch Is Set for the Earls Collection x ASICS GT-2160

Update February 8, 2024: Official images of the Earls Collection x ASICS GT-2160 are finally here, along with the name: NGĀWARI, which means 'tread softly' in Māori. Lewi Brown, Earls Collection Founder and Creative Director, has poured his Māori heritage into the design, with the inspiration coming from iconic cultural touchstones such as pounamu, paua and the weaving of flax.

A release date and price point have also been confirmed. You can expect to cop these via a raffle at Earls Collection on February 11 and through ASICS and other select retailers on February 23 for $240.

Not content with dropping some of the best colabs of 2023, ASICS are continuing to keep up the pace into the New Year, as early images of a collaboration with Earls Collection have surfaced. The Sydney-based label are set to join the likes of Above the Clouds and HAL Studios and have been working on a GT-2160 that’s expected to drop towards the end of January.

Channelling Earls' signature blend of sports-luxe and retro-inspired aesthetics, the collaborative GT-2160 sees the meshy runner come draped in a selection of earth tones. A cream net-like mesh wraps its way around the upper, while overlays and details arrive in hues of brown and green. Matching tones also land on the midsole and subtle branding hits the heels. Finally, textured laces tie the colab up perfectly.

The Earls Collection x ASICS GT-2160 is expected to land later this month, although so far the label have only hinted at the date as being ‘early 2024’. Still, it’s looking like a strong start to the year. Stay tuned for more info as it comes in.
