One of this year’s most controversial releases is the x , which references the legendary ‘eBay’ Dunk Low from 2003. Throughout 2022, leaks have been circulating of this pair, and it seems more imagery surfaces every few weeks. Finally, in November, official confirmation came through alongside Nike SB announcing a of ten collectors pairs, with proceeds going to the Bodecker Foundation.
A bit of backstory: the original SB Dunk Low ‘eBay’ arrived in 2003 through a charity auction, which sold a single pair to the highest bidder. There was also a second sample pair, which was cut into multiple pieces. When the initial announcement post arrived, it read, ‘We are putting the pieces back together’ – and they meant it. The 2022 iteration has been dubbed ‘Sandy’ and boasts a full patent-leather upper split into three parts via transparent panels.
