Eight Annual B-Boy Bbq - Philadelphia

Since its inception the BBOY BBQ has grown including individuals, groups, and families from Pennsylvania, California, New York, Japan, Europe, and Australia establishing the BBOY BBQ as a world event. It all unexpectedly began in 1997 when a few graffiti heads converged in a backyard to exchange ideas, listen to great music, and enjoy good food. The following year, through word of mouth, graffiti artists, djs, emcees, bboys and bgirls from all over the Philadelphia region converged on the small backyard to take part in what we now call THE BBOY BAR B QUE.

Having amassed a massive following in the last eight years, the BBQ has moved to the accomodating Hawthorne Rec Centre to accomodate movie screenings, live art, breakdancing, mc'ing, dj'ng and a cohesive effort by the community to come together and celebrate the love of hip hop.

It all starts on Thursday the 7th of June, 2007 with the B-Boy BBQ Jump off this Thursday, June 7th
