FAUST is a New York City-based graffiti artist who's known for his unique handstyle: big, bold letters with plenty of looping flourishes. He's tagged, stickered and mural-ed the world over, and now he's worked with to bring his famed font to the , a sample pair of which has been revealed by .
Dressed in black and gold, FAUST's take on the high-cut is covered in calligraphy. The right shoe keeps things tonal with a thickly-embroidered black text hit that reaches from heel to forefoot, while the left shoe opts for a more thin gold embroidered hit that's stacked on the collar. Insoles feature gold stamps that read 'sell your soul' and 'sell your sole,' while three lace options give the wearer their choice between a more muted or a more lively look. Interestingly enough, the tips on these laces are debossed with a graphic, indicating that this sample may be a three-way colab.
If you peel back the collar flaps, you'll see that they're lined with gold embroidery of their own. The shoes are constructed of a mixture of suede and leather, and all the branded embellishments are black – save for the left shoe's medial Swoosh, which boasts dripping gold trim.
As this pair is indeed a sample, there's no release info on the FAUST x Nike SB Dunk High. However, we'll be sure to keep you updated if it is indeed put into production!
