Filling Pieces Add Responsibility to the 683 Collection
Amsterdam’s are the latest to create products with a conscious mindset about their short- and long-term impact on the world. By tweaking their entire workflow, they’ve added an additional 6.83 Euros to production costs per sneaker, thus inspiring the name of their new 683 collection.
Primarily aimed at reducing environmental impact, FP have sourced different materials and manufacturing techniques to cut down the use of harmful chemicals and increasingly scarce resources. For example, the leather used on 683 sneakers will have traceable origins, midsoles made from sugarcane instead of petroleum products, and recycled cork insoles as opposed to plastic-based types.
The Low Plain Court silhouette is the first 683 offering, but FP plan to apply these changes to key styles like the Low Top and Low Mondo 2.0. Check out the 683 collection on .
