Now moving into the latter stages of his career, will receive his fifth signature sneaker from , as preparations intensify for his 10th NBA campaign. The PG line has been one of most popular performance basketball lines among pros and recreational players alike, and the recently leaked PG 5 will look to continue that legacy.
In typical leaker fashion, the first shots of the PG 5 are pretty average, but you can still spot some of the details. Meanwhile, the divisive shroud construction of the has been omitted, with a more traditional lacing and profile pictured. Additionally, there’s exposed stitching on the toe area, bold orange Swoosh on the heel, and white rubber sole.
As far as tech goes, it’s difficult to tell in these pics what the PG 5 will bring to the table. However, with a reputation for being one of the more technologically understated pro models Nike has to offer, the PG 5 will likely keep things on the simple side.
No official release date, but expect a drop sometime in 2021.
