Mysterious UltraBOOST 'Black Future'... what the???

Apparently this is not an official Pharrell Williams project. We'll update the info below when we know more about this mysterious UltraBOOST sample.

Pharrell Williams’ longstanding partnership with adidas continues, with a special edition UltraBOOST arriving with some help from Parley for the Oceans. Arriving in sample form, the new colourway is likely a nod to Pharrell’s recent ‘America Needs a Black Future’ essay, which was featured in TIME magazine in August.

Donning a tried-and-true ‘Triple Black’ look, this UltraBOOST features a black knitted upper, with matching Three Stripe cage, laces, and heel counter. The aforementioned heel features distinct ‘Black Future’ branding, which is barely visible in a slightly lighter shade. Down below, we get a blacked-out BOOST midsole, with a matching outsole rounding out the ensemble. Like previous releases from Parley, we expect this pair is made from the patented Parley Ocean Plastic recycled fibres, which are upcycled from remote islands, beaches, coastal communities, and shorelines, preventing harmful waste from polluting the oceans.
