Flex at the Skate Park with the Travis Scott x Dior Shoes
Paris Fashion Week has come to a close, and while the clothes were the main attraction, collaborative sneakers also took some of the spotlight. Two of the world’s biggest sneaker collaborators to date, and went head-to-head with link-ups. Abloh’s provided of , but Travis came for the crown thanks to a stack of luxe skate-ready creps with .
Cactus Jack and Dior Creative Director hit the lab, injecting a larger collaborative collection with a slew of interesting references. The shoes, dubbed B713, exude early-2000s skate energy. A chunky shape and fat tongue mixed with expert craftsmanship and luxe materials make for a big skate park flex.
We first got a look at the shoes through the Summer 2022 Dior menswear show curated by Kim Jones, but fresh new imagery has come through from the brand’s footwear designer Thibo. From the pics provided it looks like we’ll be getting a number of colourways made with a slew of fabrics. Suede, mesh and leather all make an appearance, but the highlight has to be the reptile skin. Branding has been kept low-key with ‘CD’ on the tongue and eyestays. Especially for Travis Scott, Dior has created a scripted logo that can be seen on the heel and rear lateral tag.
Who’s planning on skating the luxury Travis Scott x Dior B713? An exact release date is unknown at this point, but you can expect these to hit Dior retailers in the coming year.
