Get Out in the Rain with Nike Running's Newest Collection
If you're not one to let a bit of rain stop you from getting out and pounding the pavement, Running's latest collection is here to make your wet-weather activity a whole lot easier.
Each of the drop's three models employs weather-beating tech from top to toe. First up, the Trail 2 is kitted out in a waterproof coat, with – as the name suggests – an upper wrapped in everyone's favourite moisture-repellant membrane. Down below, they've added extra traction to tackle the harder terrains.
Next, the Pegasus 37 Shield and React Miler Shield are united by what they're packing under the hood, or under the heel as it were. Here, Nike have retooled your regular outsole. Taking cues from winter car tyres, the tread is designed specifically for wet conditions, with micro-siping for greater traction and multi-directional shapes to channel away water. Of course, they too wear a weatherproof upper to protect your feet from the sleet.
No solid release date has been announced for these – but keep your eyes peeled in the coming weeks.
