GOAT and Division Street Will Auction 400 Air Jordan 8 ‘Oregon’ PEs!
PEs () are usually reserved for their top-tier sponsored players, teams and sometimes musical artists and social media personalities. For sneakerheads, these iterations are all-time grails that cost exorbitant amounts on the secondary market and can only be acquired via certain channels.
Back in December 2021, University of Oregon alumni and Nike designer created an PE for the Oregon Ducks football team. Later that month, Jordan Brand partnered with StockX for a 100-pair charity auction that directly benefitted college-aged athletes. It’s happening again in 2022, this time with 400 units of two different AJ8 PE colourways via a partnership with GOAT and Division Street.
Division Street is a Nike-led initiative co-founded by and other Oregon alumni. It began in 2021 with a vision of helping college athletes monetise their NIL (name, image, likeness) brand. GOAT is a large secondary marketplace that specialises in sneakers and streetwear. The auction is live on their site and features ‘Gorge Green’ and ‘Pure Platinum’ colourways. Both feature the classic AJ8 colour-blocking with alternating shades of green, white and grey representing the University of Oregon.
The Division Street and GOAT auction containing two Air Jordan 8 PEs will end on August 26 at 11:59 PM PT, with all proceeds benefitting current University of Oregon athletes.
