Hot Wheels, Nike and Paul George Rev up a High Speed PG 6 Colab
is enjoying a fruitful offseason. He just got married, his Los Angeles Clippers added John Wall in free agency and his latest sneaker has received a high-speed makeover from Hot Wheels. George is a known lover of automobiles who owns a Ferrari 458 Spider, a Range Rover and a tricked-out Jeep Wrangler, so the Hot Wheels x Nike PG 6 boasts close ties to one of his favourite off-court passions.
Anything Hot Wheels is bound to be loud and colourful, and this PG 6 is no exception. Its details include a hot-and-cold gradient fade on the upper, a backwards flaming Swoosh on the lateral side, a firey iteration of George's #13 on the medial side and black/white checkered tongues that represent the end of a race. That's not all: special Hot Wheels/PG branding is spread across the tongues and the flame-printed insoles, and a custom box rounds off the aesthetic portion.
From a performance standpoint, the PG 6 boasts a full-length Reach foam midsole and an outsole pattern that's tuned to meet the demands of George's multi-directional game. Combined with the React foam construction, the patterns are somewhat reminiscent of the ones used on the !
